Currently Under Contract

ONLY TRACT 37 IS STILL AVAILABLE IN THE ORIGINAL RABBIT BUSH RANCH SUBDIVISION.

Properties at Rabbit Bush Ranch are a mix of forest and open vistas of the Platte River Valley and the Laramie Range Mountains. This area is steeped in western history with the Emigrant Trail traversing the ranch, at a time when thousands of settlers and gold seekers made their way to Oregon and California.

It’s just a short drive from the ranch to the Fort Laramie National Historic Site where you can spend the entire day visiting restored structures at the Fort with many displaying actual furnishings of the historic period.

For the real history enthusiast, the numerous treaties signed at the Fort by various Indian Tribes are on display and printed copies are offered free of charge.

Rabbit Bush Ranch is accessed by Wendover Road, a county gravel road, just 3 miles north of U.S. Highway 26.

Wendover Road provides public access to the Platte River just one mile pass the Ranch.  There is a free public parking area at the access where float trips and kayakers can leave their vehicles.

Once on the Platte River, it is a pleasant float down to Guernsey Lake and Guernsey State Park.

The town of Guernsey is only six miles from the ranch and provides all the modern conveniences of a small western town including banking, groceries, fuel, cafes, bars, and overnight accommodations.

Recreational opportunities abound, with hunting, hiking, or four wheeling on your own acreage or enjoying water sports and fishing on nearby Glendo Lake, and Gray Rocks Reservoir, or camping and boating at Guernsey State Park.

Five properties at Rabbit Bush Ranch have a common property line with a Bureau of Land Management wooded parcel that has no access to the public.

  • Many parcels have electricity and two properties have existing wells.
  • There are some lenient covenants for the protection of property values.
  • There is no state income tax in Wyoming and Wyoming has favorable property taxes.
  • All the properties have wooded areas ranging from mostly wooded to more open vistas.
  • All the properties are accessible from a county road or a gravel private road.
  • There are many separate and distinct natural features that offer variety for appeal to individual taste.
  • Everyone may not have a desire to own an acreage property, but for those that do this is an opportunity without equal.  These scenic properties are priced below any comparable properties in a equally desirable location.

When these properties are sold, there may never again be a better opportunity to build wealth while enjoying the amenities your investment has to offer.

With on the spot non-recourse financing anyone with a desire for owning a Wyoming wooded acreage property can make their wish come true. Pronghorn Development is not a broker and only sells property it owns.  Brokers participation is welcome for Rabbit Bush Ranch.

You absolutely will not find a wooded acreage property as accessible to Interstate Highway 25 and major populations of Cheyenne (95 miles), Laramie (104 miles), Wheatland (26 miles), Douglas (57 miles), and Casper (111 miles) at anything close to the offering prices at Rabbit Bush Ranch.
