ONLY TRACT 37 IS STILL AVAILABLE IN THE ORIGINAL RABBIT BUSH RANCH SUBDIVISION.
Properties at Rabbit Bush Ranch are a mix of forest and open vistas of the Platte River Valley and the Laramie Range Mountains. This area is steeped in western history with the Emigrant Trail traversing the ranch, at a time when thousands of settlers and gold seekers made their way to Oregon and California.
It’s just a short drive from the ranch to the Fort Laramie National Historic Site where you can spend the entire day visiting restored structures at the Fort with many displaying actual furnishings of the historic period.
For the real history enthusiast, the numerous treaties signed at the Fort by various Indian Tribes are on display and printed copies are offered free of charge.
Rabbit Bush Ranch is accessed by Wendover Road, a county gravel road, just 3 miles north of U.S. Highway 26.
